Workable
Solutions Workable Solutions was a two year Return to Work Project undertaken by the Ballarat Regional Trades & Labour Council and the Gippsland Trades and Labour Council. The Project is now complete and a comprehensive report written. |

The Gippsland Apprenticeship Research
Project (GARP) arose from growing concern among a range of stakeholders
(e.g. employers, trade unions, employment agencies, educators, group training
providers, etc.) in the Gippsland region about apprentices/trainees and
training schemes. The project reference group and funding sources included
Monash University, Gippsland Local Government Network, Regional Development
Victoria and Baw Baw Latrobe LLEN .Stakeholder concerns included issues surrounding * declining retention rates * the quality of apprenticeships and traineeships * employers’ motivation in taking on apprentices * apprentice/trainee motivations for undertaking training. |
